Hello Everyone!

People ask many questions on diets or weight loss plans throughout our day at the office.  Most everyone has heard about the Atkins diet, The South Beach diet, Paleo, intermittent fasting and the Ketogenic diet.  My advice to everyone is portion control and some daily low impact exercise.  Whole foods (food that is not processed or refined and has little added ingredients i.e. sugars/preservatives) are a great source of nutrients that are bioavailable to your body.  Try to include lots of variety and color in your diet.   If you can place your food on your countertop and it goes bad in a few days it is probably the best choice for your body.  And remember fats (animal fats, butter, lard and cream) and carbs are not necessarily bad if you continue to practice portion control!
